Paint Correction & Ceramic Coating
in Northern Colorado
Specialized paint correction and ceramic coating for vehicle owners who care about the finish.
Serving Fort Collins, Loveland, Greeley, and vehicle owners throughout Northern Colorado.
At Colorado Shines, your vehicle is personally worked on by Bill from start to finish. No high-volume production line. No handing your vehicle off to a trainee. Just professional paint correction and protection with the time, experience, and attention your vehicle deserves.
Not Your Typical Auto Detail Shop
Colorado Shines is not a full-service detailing shop trying to do everything. We specialize in what we do best: correcting, enhancing, and protecting your vehicle's exterior finish.
The person you talk to is the person working on your vehicle. Bill personally handles each project from assessment through completion, so you always know whose hands your vehicle is in.
You Work Directly With Bill
Our focus is paint correction, polishing, sealants, and professional ceramic coatings, not routine interior cleaning, vacuuming, or high-volume detailing packages.
Specialized Exterior Care
Every vehicle and every finish is different. Colorado Shines isn't built around getting as many cars through the shop as possible. Your vehicle gets the time and attention necessary to achieve the best result possible for its condition.
Time Spent Where It Matters
Colorado Shines grew from Bill's lifelong love of cars. For the past nine years, he's turned that passion into specialized paint correction and ceramic coating services for owners who care about how their vehicles look and how they're protected.
Nine Years’ Experience & a Lifelong Passion
Choose the Right Level of Paint Correction & Protection
Not every vehicle needs the same amount of correction. That's why Colorado Shines offers three levels based on your vehicle's condition and the result you're looking for.
-
A one-step paint correction designed to remove approximately 60–70% of scratches and swirl marks, followed by a 6 month paint sealant to help protect the corrected finish.
Starting at $600
Final pricing may vary depending on the size and condition of the vehicle.
-
For vehicles requiring more extensive correction, Level 2 uses a two-step cut and polish process designed to remove approximately 85–95% of scratches and swirl marks, followed by a paint sealant or wax to protect the finish for 12 months.
-
Our highest level of correction and protection. Level 3 includes a full paint correction designed to remove approximately 95%+ of correctable scratches and swirl marks, followed by the application of a professional-level, high-solids ceramic coating to enhance and protect the corrected finish.
Available Add-Ons
Ceramic coating for wheels and glass is also available as an add-on and can be discussed during your vehicle assessment.
Not sure which level your vehicle needs?
You don't have to figure that out yourself. Bill will assess the condition of the finish and recommend the appropriate service.
What Is Paint Correction?
Washing removes dirt and contaminants. Paint correction addresses defects within the appearance of the painted finish itself.
Over time, improper washing, environmental exposure, normal use, and previous care can leave a vehicle with swirl marks, fine scratches, hazing, oxidation, and other imperfections that reduce clarity and gloss.
Paint correction uses professional polishing techniques to carefully refine the vehicle's clear coat, reducing these visible imperfections and restoring greater depth, clarity, and shine.
The amount of correction possible depends on the condition of the vehicle, which is why Colorado Shines offers different levels rather than treating every vehicle the same.
Your Paint Can Be Clean and Still Need Correction.
Paint Correction Isn't the Same as Traditional Detailing
If you're looking to have your carpets vacuumed and your cup holders cleaned, Colorado Shines probably isn't what you're looking for.
Our work focuses on the exterior finish: correcting imperfections in the paint and creating a surface that looks dramatically better before applying the appropriate protection.
It's specialized work for vehicle owners looking for more than a routine detail.
What Does a Ceramic Coating Do?
Enhance gloss, depth, and clarity
Create a hydrophobic surface that repels water
Make routine washing and cleaning easier
Protect the finish from environmental contaminants
Help preserve the appearance of your corrected paint
Once you've invested in correcting your vehicle's paint, a ceramic coating can provide a durable protective layer over that finish. Colorado Shines uses only professional-level, high-solids ceramic coatings selected for performance rather than promoting a particular product brand. A professionally applied ceramic coating can help:
Protect the Finish After the Work Is Done.
A ceramic coating doesn't make a vehicle maintenance-free or make the paint impossible to scratch. Proper washing, storage, and ongoing care still matter.
We'll help you understand what to expect from your coating and how to properly care for the vehicle afterward.

The Man Behind The Polishing: Meet Bill
Colorado Shines is a passion-driven business built around Bill's lifelong love of cars.
For the past nine years, Bill has been providing paint correction and ceramic coating services with a simple approach: personally handle the work and give each vehicle the time and attention it deserves.
Your Vehicle Stays in the Hands of the Person You Hired.
Unlike a large detailing operation, there isn't a rotation of employees or trainees working on your vehicle. When you bring your car, truck, or motorcycle to Colorado Shines, Bill is the person assessing it, working on it, and standing behind the finished result.
That personal approach also means being willing to say when a service isn't appropriate. Every vehicle is inspected before work begins. If the clear coat is failing or the condition of the paint makes correction inappropriate, Bill will tell you rather than sell you a service your vehicle shouldn't receive.
For owners who care about their vehicles, that's exactly how Colorado Shines believes the work should be done.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Paint correction can be worth it if you care about the appearance of your vehicle and want to reduce visible swirl marks, fine scratches, hazing, and other imperfections that dull the finish. It can restore clarity, depth, and gloss—especially before applying a ceramic coating.
However, not every vehicle needs paint correction, and not every finish is a good candidate. The condition of the paint and clear coat matters. Bill inspects each vehicle first and will recommend the appropriate level of correction—or let you know if paint correction isn't the right choice for your vehicle.
-
Not necessarily. The amount of correction possible depends on the type and depth of the defect and the condition of the vehicle's clear coat. Colorado Shines offers multiple levels of correction based on the vehicle and the desired result.
-
No. The condition of the clear coat needs to support safe correction. For example, a vehicle experiencing clear coat failure may not be an appropriate candidate. Bill pre-inspects vehicles before proceeding with the work.
-
Ceramic coating creates a durable protective layer over the vehicle's finish that can enhance gloss, provide hydrophobic properties, make cleaning easier, and help protect the surface from environmental contaminants.
-
No coating makes automotive paint scratch-proof. Proper washing, storage, and care remain important after a ceramic coating has been applied.
-
There isn't a complicated maintenance regimen. Proper washing, storage, and general care are the most important things you can do to preserve the appearance of your vehicle.
-
Colorado Shines works on a wide range of vehicles, including high-end and enthusiast cars, muscle cars, antiques, trucks, motorcycles, and other vehicles whose owners want a higher level of exterior finish and protection.
